ELEHEAR Hearing Aids Review: Beyond, Beyond Pro & Delight — AI-Powered OTC at Every Price Point

If you’ve spent any time researching OTC hearing aids, you’ve probably noticed ELEHEAR showing up on best-of lists more and more. There’s a reason for that. In independent lab testing by HearAdvisor , the most credible standardized testing source for OTC hearing aids, the ELEHEAR Beyond Pro ranked #2 out of 56 OTC devices tested and earned an A SoundGrade. That’s not marketing copy. That’s third-party verification.

ELEHEAR is a tech-driven company that entered the OTC market with a clear focus: use artificial intelligence to deliver premium sound quality at a price point that doesn’t require selling your car. Their current lineup covers three distinct models, the Beyond, the Beyond Pro, and the newly launched Delight, each targeting a different type of user and listening priority.

At Hears Hearing & Hearables, we carry the Beyond and Beyond Pro in our online store, and the Delight will be available soon. This review covers what makes each model stand out, how they compare, and which one is most likely to fit your specific situation.

What Sets ELEHEAR Apart: AI and VOCCLEAR Technology

Most OTC hearing aids amplify sound. ELEHEAR processes it. That distinction matters more than it might sound.

At the core of every ELEHEAR device is VOCCLEAR, the company’s proprietary AI sound processing system. Rather than simply making everything louder, VOCCLEAR continuously analyzes the listening environment in real time, identifying speech frequencies, suppressing background noise, and automatically adapting to different acoustic settings. In the Beyond Pro, VOCCLEAR 2.0 uses deep neural networks that analyze the environment 500 times per second and extend the hearing aid’s frequency range from 7,000 Hz to 8,500 Hz, capturing more of the subtle speech and musical detail that standard hearing aids miss.

The result, in independent testing and in our clinic experience, is a device that performs more like a prescription hearing aid than the typical OTC offering at a fraction of the price.

ELEHEAR Beyond: Award-Winning Performance at $399

HearAdvisor Expert’s Choice Award 2024 –Top 9% of all OTC hearing aids tested

The Beyond is ELEHEAR’s entry-level model and, frankly, it punches well above its price class. In HearAdvisor lab testing, it scored well above the OTC category average for speech clarity in quiet environments and above average for speech in noise. It earned the Expert’s Choice Award for 2024, a remarkable recognition for a device at this price point.

Beyond At a Glance

  • Style: Receiver-in-canal (RIC): sits behind the ear with a small receiver in the ear canal
  • Price: ~$399 per pair
  • Battery: Rechargeable, up to 18 hours per charge; case recharges in approximately 1.5 hours
  • Bluetooth: Yes, streaming to both iOS and Android; hands-free calling
  • App: ELEHEAR app, volume, tone, program settings, tinnitus masking, in-app hearing test
  • AI technology: VOCCLEAR noise reduction and feedback suppression
  • Tinnitus support: Yes, sound layering for tinnitus masking
  • Remote audiologist support: Yes, via ElePro app feature
  • Water resistance: IPX5
  • FDA registered, HSA/FSA eligible
  • Return window: 45 days

One thing worth noting: the Beyond does not include an in-app hearing test in the same way some pricier OTC devices do. Setup involves manual adjustment of volume, bass, treble, and sound modes through the app rather than an automated audiogram-style test. For most users this works well. For those who want more automated self-fitting, the Beyond Pro adds that capability.

ELEHEAR Beyond Pro: Top 2% of All OTC Hearing Aids Tested

HearAdvisor Expert’s Choice Award 2024 & 2025 –#2 of 56 OTC devices tested — A SoundGrade

The Beyond Pro is ELEHEAR’s current flagship RIC model and represents a significant step up from the Beyond. Launched in July 2025, it brought enhanced AI algorithms, a wider frequency range, refined app functionality, and improved speech clarity, particularly in noisy environments, which is where most hearing aids struggle most.

In HearAdvisor’s independent lab testing, the Beyond Pro scored 1.68 points above the category average for speech in quiet and an impressive 2.40 points above average for speech in noise. Feedback handling was perfect in standardized testing. It ranked #2 among all 56 OTC devices tested, placing it in the top 2% of the entire OTC category. These are exceptional numbers for a $599 device.

Beyond Pro At a Glance

  • Style: Receiver-in-canal (RIC), same form factor as Beyond
  • Price: ~$599 per pair
  • Battery: Rechargeable–up to 24 hours per charge
  • Bluetooth: Yes, streaming to both iOS and Android; hands-free calling; music streaming above average in testing
  • App: ELEHEAR app, enhanced controls, hearing test, tinnitus masking library, remote audiologist access
  • AI technology: VOCCLEAR 2.0, deep neural network, analyzes environment 500x/second, extended frequency range 125Hz–8,500Hz
  • Tinnitus support: Yes, full library of layerable tinnitus masking sounds
  • Remote audiologist support: Yes, licensed audiologists can recommend program settings via ElePro feature
  • Water resistance: IPX5
  • FDA registered, HSA/FSA eligible
  • Return window: 45 days

The one honest tradeoff: own-voice comfort scored 1.31 points below average in testing, due to occlusion from the closed dome design. Users sensitive to hearing their own voice more loudly than usual may notice this, particularly during extended wear. It’s a known characteristic of closed-dome RIC devices; the same issue exists in comparable devices at higher prices.

ELEHEAR Delight: The New In-Canal Option — Coming Soon to Our Store

ELEHEAR Delight — Debuted at CES 2026. Coming soon to Hears Hearing & Hearables.

Unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the Delight represents ELEHEAR’s most significant design departure yet. Where the Beyond and Beyond Pro are RIC devices that sit behind the ear, the Delight is a completely-in-canal (CIC) style earbud, designed from the ground up for users who want hearing support that looks and feels like modern consumer tech, not a medical device.

It’s built on the same VOCCLEAR AI platform as the Beyond Pro, so the underlying sound processing is proven. What’s new is the form factor, an even better IP67 water resistance rating, and several features not found on the RIC models.

Delight At a Glance

  • Style: Completely-in-canal (CIC) / in-the-canal (ITC) earbud — sits inside the ear canal
  • Price: ~$369 per pair (launch pricing; was $299 early-bird pre-order)
  • Battery: Rechargeable — up to 13.5 hours per charge in hearing aid mode; charging case provides approximately two additional full charges (up to 40.5 hours total)
  • Bluetooth: Yes, Bluetooth 5.3, streaming to iOS and Android; hands-free calling
  • App: ELEHEAR app, volume, tone, program modes, hearing test, tinnitus/Serene Sound Relief
  • AI technology: VOCCLEAR AI– up to 24 dB noise reduction, up to 45 dB amplification, smart feedback suppression
  • Unique features: AI-powered real-time translation in 20 languages; Serene Sound Relief (white noise tinnitus therapy)
  • Fit: Ergonomic ear-wing design in soft silicone which secures the device during movement; multiple dome sizes (vented and unvented)
  • Water resistance: IP67 — better than the Beyond/Beyond Pro’s IPX5
  • Best for: Active users, professionals, and first-time wearers who want an earbud-style device with full AI features and discretion
  • Return window: 45-day trial (60-day during pre-sale period)

The Delight is designed for a slightly different buyer than the Beyond Pro, someone who leads an active lifestyle, is in the 25-60 age range, and has been hesitant about hearing aids specifically because of how they look. The ear-wing design keeps the device secure during movement, and the IP67 rating means it handles sweat and light rain with confidence.

Battery life is shorter than the Beyond Pro (13.5 hours vs. 24 hours in hearing aid mode), which is a real consideration for all-day users. The trade-off is a significantly more discreet form factor. For users whose primary environment is noisy and complex, the Beyond Pro remains the stronger performer. For users who prioritize comfort, aesthetics, and active-lifestyle compatibility, the Delight is compelling.

Our Clinic Experience with ELEHEAR

We’ve had hands-on time with the ELEHEAR Beyond and Beyond Pro in our clinic. Our findings aligned with the independent lab results: natural sound quality, meaningfully improved speech clarity, and comfortable extended wear. The ELEHEAR app is one of the more user-friendly interfaces we’ve encountered, with an especially clear setup process that reviewers across multiple independent sources have called out as a standout.

The absence of an automated in-app hearing test in the original Beyond is worth flagging for first-time users who want more guided setup. The Beyond Pro addresses this with expanded app functionality. Both models come with access to remote audiologist support through the ElePro feature, a meaningful differentiator from many OTC brands that leave users entirely on their own after purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions: ELEHEAR Hearing Aids

What happened to the ELEHEAR Alpha Pro?

The ELEHEAR Alpha Pro was the brand’s original model and has been succeeded by the Beyond and Beyond Pro — both of which offer significantly improved technology, including upgraded VOCCLEAR AI processing, better app functionality, and independent lab validation.

How do ELEHEAR Beyond and Beyond Pro compare?

Both are RIC-style devices with Bluetooth streaming, rechargeable batteries, tinnitus support, and remote audiologist access. The Beyond Pro adds VOCCLEAR 2.0 — a deep neural network that analyzes the environment 500 times per second, extends the frequency range to 8,500 Hz, and delivers meaningfully better performance in noisy environments. In independent testing, the Beyond Pro ranked #2 of 56 OTC devices with an A SoundGrade, earning the HearAdvisor Expert’s Choice Award in both 2024 and 2025.

What is VOCCLEAR technology?

VOCCLEAR is ELEHEAR’s proprietary AI sound processing system. It continuously analyzes the surrounding environment to enhance speech clarity while suppressing background noise — using feedback suppression to eliminate whistling and, in the Beyond Pro version, a deep neural network analyzing sound 500 times per second. VOCCLEAR 2.0 in the Beyond Pro also extends the device’s frequency range to 125 Hz–8,500 Hz for more natural, detailed sound.

What is the ELEHEAR Delight?

The ELEHEAR Delight is a completely-in-canal (CIC) / in-the-canal (ITC) earbud-style OTC hearing aid unveiled at CES 2026. It features the VOCCLEAR AI engine, Bluetooth 5.3, IP67 water resistance, AI-powered real-time translation in 20 languages, an ergonomic ear-wing design for secure fit during activity, and up to 13.5 hours of battery per charge. It is priced at approximately $369 and will be available soon at Hears Hearing & Hearables.

Are ELEHEAR hearing aids FDA registered?

Yes. All ELEHEAR hearing aids, Beyond, Beyond Pro, and Delight, are FDA-registered medical devices intended for adults aged 18 and older with mild to moderate hearing loss. All are HSA/FSA eligible.

Do ELEHEAR hearing aids work for tinnitus?

Yes. All ELEHEAR models include tinnitus support features. The Beyond Pro offers a full library of layerable tinnitus masking sounds. The Delight includes Serene Sound Relief, white-noise options designed to provide tinnitus comfort. These are sound-based support tools, not medical treatments for tinnitus.

What is the return policy on ELEHEAR hearing aids?

ELEHEAR offers a 45-day return window on all models purchased through authorized retailers including Hears Hearing & Hearables. The Delight included a 60-day trial during its pre-sale period. All models come with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
