⚠️ Important Warning Before Purchasing Hearing Aids Online!

Hearing aids are not one-size-fits-all! Purchasing online without professional guidance may lead to:

  • Poor Fit & Comfort Issues – Improperly fitted devices can cause discomfort or even make hearing worse.
  • Limited Sound Quality – Without a proper fitting and adjustments, your hearing aid may not perform as expected.
  • No Hands-On Support – Fine-tuning and troubleshooting are easier in person with a local provider.

We offer telehealth fittings to help you get the best possible outcome, but this is not “best practice”.  This fee will be automatically added to your cart.  You may not remove it unless you can prove that you have a licensed provider that will fit these on you.  If you do have a provider, we can refund you this fee upon proof.

For optimal results, we recommend visiting a local provider for a proper fit and sound adjustment.
Please note: If we determine that the hearing aid is not the right fit for you, we reserve the right to decline the sale and issue a refund. Your hearing health is our priority!

Exploring the Bicros and Cros Hearing Aid Systems: Enhancing Sound for Individuals with Single-sided Hearing Loss

Description

The Rexton BiCore CROS is compatible with all hearing aids using BiCore technology.

Understanding Cros and Bicros Hearing Aids:

Both the Bicros and Cros hearing aid systems are designed to address a particular type of hearing loss known as unilateral hearing loss, or single-sided deafness. This condition occurs when one ear has little to no hearing ability, while the other ear has normal or near-normal hearing.

The Cros Hearing Aid System:

Individuals with single-sided deafness are typically those who use a CROS hearing aid system. In this system, a microphone is placed in the non-hearing ear, which picks up sounds from that side. The hearing ear uses a traditional hearing aid that receives sounds picked up from the CROS. The receiver amplifies the sound, making it audible to the individual.

Bicros Hearing Aid System:

The Bicros system is suitable for individuals with single-sided deafness and some hearing loss in the better ear. The non-hearing ear is equipped with a microphone to capture sounds, similar to the CROS system. However, in the Bicros system, the microphone also transmits the sounds to a hearing aid in the better ear.

This hearing aid amplifies the sound from the non-hearing ear as well as enhances the sound from the better ear. Therefore providing a more balanced hearing experience.

Accessories that work with the Rexton Bicore and Cros:

Our hearing aids are sold separately from the service. We are working on our network to find a provider near you. Providers charge separately for services. If you are in Minnesota you can see us.

The Audéo Lumity hearing aids Available only in Receiver-In-Canal (RIC) models with Rechargeability but there are 3 to choose from including:
  • Audéo L-R = no telecoil, no waterproofing
  • Audéo L-RT = has a telecoil, not waterproof
  • Audéo L-RL = waterproof, no telecoil, comes with upgraded charger
All three of the RICs come with an IP68 rating. The Audéo L-RL has additional features, such as the absence of charging contacts, that help improve its resistance to moisture. An IP68 rating means these aids should withstand dust, dirt, and sand, and are resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of 1.5m (about 5 ft) underwater for up to 30 minutes (but we don’t recommend trying this!).

Before You Buy: You Need a Current Audiogram

Prescription hearing aids cannot be programmed or properly used without a current audiogram. This is a clinical requirement, not a formality. If you don't have one, see the options below before purchasing. An audiogram is a detailed map of your hearing across frequencies and volumes in each ear. Every prescription hearing aid we sell is programmed to your audiogram by a licensed audiologist. Without it, the device cannot be set up correctly for your hearing loss. I have a current audiogram: You're ready. Upload it when you contact us and we'll get started. I'm in Minnesota and need a hearing evaluation: Visit our Hears to U audiology clinic in Hopkins for a comprehensive evaluation. [LINK to hearstou.com] I'm outside Minnesota and need local care: Reach out — we'll help you find a trusted provider near you. I don't have an audiogram and want to start with something now: OTC hearing aids are self-fitted and don't require one.

Authentic Products With Full Manufacturer Warranties

Every device we sell is authentic, U.S.-approved, and backed by the full manufacturer's warranty, typically three years for repairs plus one-time loss and damage coverage. We've seen what happens when patients chase the lowest price from unverified sellers: counterfeit devices, no manufacturer support, no recourse. We don't sell that way.

How to Buy Prescription Hearing Aids Online: Step by Step

Step 1. Get a hearing evaluation and own your audiogram. A professional audiogram is the foundation of any prescription fitting. If you pay for your hearing test, you're entitled to a copy — ask for it. Medicare beneficiaries: an audiologist visit is covered with a standard copay. Step 2. Decide how you want care delivered. Telehealth works well for most follow-up adjustments and many initial fittings. If you prefer in-person, we can see you in Hopkins or connect you with a provider near you. Step 3. Choose your devices. We carry all the major prescription brands: Phonak, Starkey, Oticon, Signia, ReSound, Widex, Unitron, and Rexton. Browse below or contact us for a personalized recommendation. Step 4. Build your package. Your hearing aids plus the fitting, programming, and follow-up support that match your lifestyle. All fees are itemized, no bundled surprises. Step 5. We program and ship. Once your audiogram is on file, we program your devices and ship them directly to you, with remote support built in from day one. Not sure which brand or model is right for you? Read our prescription hearing aid buying guide or contact our team; we'll narrow it down based on your audiogram, lifestyle, and budget.

What to Watch Out For When Buying Online

Not all online hearing aid sellers operate with the same care. Here's what to watch for:
  • No audiogram required. If a seller ships prescription hearing aids without your hearing test results, they cannot program them properly. Walk away.
  • No licensed professional involved. Look for professionals' credentials, not just a customer service team.
  • Price dramatically below market. Counterfeit devices exist. Authentic prescription hearing aids from major manufacturers have price floors. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  • No trial period. Quality providers offer 30–60 days to confirm the devices are working for you.
  • No follow-up care. Programming is just the beginning. Adjustments, fine-tuning, and support after delivery are part of what makes prescription hearing aids work.
